What information should I have ready before discussing a will?

Start with an outline of your family circumstances, the assets and countries involved, and the people you want to discuss as beneficiaries or in other roles. Bring any existing will and note what has changed. You do not need to arrive with legal wording; the first conversation is about your wishes and the work required.

I already have a will in another country. Should I prepare another one?

Do not commission a second document without reviewing the first. Share the existing will, the assets it is intended to cover and the jurisdictions involved. The review should consider whether an additional document is appropriate and how the documents would interact, rather than assuming they operate independently.

Does will preparation include registration and the associated fees?

Ask for preparation, review, signing or registration support, and third-party charges to be itemised. Do not assume that every step is included in a preparation fee. The proposal should identify who handles each stage and what you must complete personally.

What if my family circumstances or assets change after the will is prepared?
